Engagement sessions are my favorite part of the whole experience. This is the time that I really get to know you both and learn your story. It's our first time actually working together, so this is where we find our groove. By your wedding day, you will already be a pro and we will have already spent an evening together getting to know each other.

I'm available throughout the entire planning process if you have any questions about scheduling, vendors, or anything else! We will agree on a timeline a month beforehand so we can make sure we have enough time to capture your day in the best way possible. A week out from your wedding day, we can chat to go over the schedule one final time and tie up any loose ends.

I look to capture real moments that make you feel the same emotion when looking back on them 20 years later. My Style

I’m a graphic designer by trade, so I often apply basic design principles when shooting. I make an effort to have clean backgrounds, removing all distractions if at all possible, making sure lines are straight or leading the eye to a particular place.
I love color, if you couldn’t tell already. When looking for locations, I try to find surroundings that have a pop of color, whether that be a colorful mural or even a field of flowers. I love when couples incorporate color into their wardrobe choices to help create pops of color into their images.
Your photos will be vibrant and true to life. This means the colors will appear the way they actually look. Suits, dresses, florals, and even the tree leaves will all be the correct color. This will make your photos timeless and not date them by adding a trendy editing style that you may not like in 10 years.

For that reason, I try to be a fly on the wall for most of the day. This allows me to capture genuine moments from the day, some that you might have even missed.
Your experience will be fun! Yes, we’ll get some classic smile at the camera poses, but I strive to capture photos that have an emotional connection. I do this by guiding you with some lifestyle poses and prompts. Whether that’s laughing at each other or nuzzling each other’s foreheads together, it will be natural and look amazing!
If time and weather allow, I always take my couples out at sunset to take a few couple photos. Most of my sessions take place during golden hour, which is about 2 hours before sunset, so my style tends to lean on the warmer side.

Max’s studio is the cutest hideaway with the best lighting for all pics. He set up personal stations for my boyfriend and I and made us feel so comfortable throughout the session. He helped us pose and look super cute for all of our shots! Max goes above and beyond for his clients and we can’t wait to work with him again!
